Winning video to receive $15,000 donation for breast cancer charity

Bellin Health, the Green Bay Packers’ official health care partner, recently entered the 2014 Medline Pink Glove Dance Competition, positioning the Green Bay-based health system for a shot at a $15,000 donation to benefit the Ribbon of Hope Foundation, a local breast cancer awareness organization.

The annual dance video competition uses the joy of dance to honor those affected by breast cancer. Participants submit a music video featuring breast cancer survivors, medical staff, physicians and others dancing. The dancers wear pink gloves in support of breast cancer awareness and the hope of a cure.

Survivors are filmed enjoying simple pleasures, such as riding a bike and playing catch, along with the thrills of zip-lining and riding the Zippin Pippin rollercoaster. The video also features a number of current Green Bay Packers players including Jordy Nelson,Eddie LacyRandall CobbB.J. RajiA.J. Fans can vote for their favorite video once per day at from Tuesday, Sept. 9 through Tuesday, Sept. 23. Contest winners will be announced Thursday, Oct. 2.

“It’s inspiring that more than 200 people gave their time and energy to make this video a reality,” said Jody Wilmet, vice president of Bellin’s cancer center. “Our video is a meaningful and memorable way to honor and support those dealing with breast cancer. We’re excited to be part of this movement and hope that our video earns your votes.”
